I didn't forget about the photoblog, I just haven't been taking and processing many. This weekend I've forced myself to go through a lot of photos of me and a lot I've taken. So here's a big batch from Amanda's surprise bridal shower! We threw it for her at Dragoncon 2008 and it was a lot of fun.
Just a quick post to say that things are finally shaping up here. I will be attending MomoCon 2009 as a cosplay guest so I needed to update the site a bit. New bio coming tomorrow but for now here are the updated Collections pages.

If you like the idea of women actually fighting and kicking butt, you should watch the anime Airmaster. It is a hardcore fighting show that is seriously underrated! I love that kind of action stuff.
These photos are from after she had a small mole removed from her side. It is painful to me to see them now when she is actually in mortal danger, but I love to take photos of Mina and especially now want to preserve what makes her a special member of our family.
For laughs, I actually changed my costume 3 times over the duration of the night. The wizard costume was brought by Brian and Laina and featured in a pornographic Wizard porn. I refused to put the beard on my face, considering that I'm not sure exactly how many other people have worn it. Not to mention I was thoroughly amused by an entire new concept of "neck beard".
More pictures of everyone from the night. I think Gerald ended up being a Train Conductor rapist by the end of the night. Clarissa wore my Wizard-chan outfit that I made for the Wizard party. Sosa was the ghost of 1976, with hilariously large eyeholes. Andrea started out as some kawaii elf girl, then changed into Officer Jenny, catching Lily/Mudkip on the stairs of my place. And Alina, Laina, Brian and Nikki were random pirate girl(?), B.B.Hood, Piccolo and Sakura, respectively.
Pictures from various games from the night, including the Potion-Making Session. We also had a Post-It/Name Guessing Game where Lily was ecstatic that she was Bella Swan, and Clarissa was Lestat, which she figured out soon after I told her that her character was really gay. Other activities included "Pumpkin Dick", a Halloween version of Fluffy Bunny (which Carolann destroyed all competition at), and some strange game where we made a huge spiderweb by wrapping yarn around various limbs in a circle.
Decorations/Food from around the house.
I haven't updated this in ages, and decided to start using it more often, if anything as an update blog for my cosplay site & progress!! Previously, my cosplay site was located at miracle-shine.net, but I had hosting issues & started getting tired of that name. A few months back I purchased code-crush.org, since I've always wanted that domain and thought it would be cute for costuming as well! ♥ Especially since I want to start getting Matt, my husband, more involved. So while it's still a work in progress, our new cosplay site is up and running.
Over the past few months I've done a few new costumes, and now I'm gearing up for my favorite convention, Anime Weekend Atlanta. More on that later, for now, here are my latest accomplishments~~
Minuki / Trucy from Apollo Justice
Artbook Hachi from NANA (not new, just revamped)
Louise de la Valliere from Zero no Tsukaima
Miwako Sakurada from Paradise Kiss (Best Group @ Anime South 2007)
So every year my mom and I usually check out the Street of Dreams. Its an event where you pay some money (which goes to charity) and you are allowed to walk through these huge houses worth millions of dollars. I think the purpose is that it gives builders and interior designers an opportunity to find new patrons. After all, the whole house is worth millions but maybe you just want this pool that cost hundreds of thousands. I dunno, I hope I have a pool like that someday.
This time I took my camera. The photos aren't anything special but the material is pretty extravagant and cool!
Back from an academic conference and I have a lot of photos to share! I know it's been a long time since I've updated; I tried a new batch edit method for this and I'm not sure how successful it was, but i did get a lot of photos done at once. Later I will take specific ones and tweak them since I did have a few favorites that didn't respond well to the batch treatment.
This was my first time to the Netherlands, or even Europe! I had a great time though it was short and I didn't get to buy anything. Hope you like the photos; keep in mind some of the ones from Amsterdam are not for all ages!
